Wildlife Around the House

WaveCrest House sits within a stretch of the South Coast that remains genuinely wild. Bushbuck are regularly spotted on and around the property – beautiful, gentle animals that are a real privilege to have as neighbours.

Please drive slowly through the area, as they do cross the roads. Vervet monkeys also pay the occasional visit, so guests are asked to keep doors and windows closed when out, and to please not feed the wildlife.

An elevated, wide-angle view of Bazley Beach from WaveCrest House’s cliffside vantage point, showcasing a sweeping curve of pale golden sand, gentle turquoise waves rolling in rhythmic lines, and rugged green coastal vegetation in the foreground. The guest house’s minimalist glass railing runs along the bottom edge of the frame, subtly anchoring the perspective without dominating it. Early evening light bathes the scene in a soft, warm glow, catching the textured surface of the water and creating long shadows from the dunes. Photographic realism, captured with deep depth of field for crisp clarity from foreground vegetation to distant headland, conveys a grand yet peaceful sense of space, emphasizing the property’s unrivaled coastal outlook.

“Peaceful, spotless, and right by the sea – WaveCrest House felt like our own private coastal retreat.”
